Part-04: Custom Settings C1-C7 and Quick Menu

Follow these steps on the camera.

Save a custom setting

MENU/OK → IMAGE QUALITY SETTING → EDIT/SAVE CUSTOM SETTING
  1. Choose C1 to C7.
  2. Choose EDIT/CHECK.
  3. Adjust film simulation, grain, color, sharpness, DR, white balance, etc.
  4. Press DISP/BACK.
  5. Choose SAVE THE CHANGES.

Load a custom setting

MENU/OK → IMAGE QUALITY SETTING → SELECT CUSTOM SETTING
  1. Choose C1, C2, C3, etc.
  2. Press MENU/OK.
  3. Take a test photo and confirm the look.

Customize Q menu

Hold Q button → Edit Quick Menu
  1. Put ISO, film simulation, AF mode, face/eye detection, white balance, DR, image quality, and self-timer in the Q menu.
  2. Keep the Q menu simple.
  3. Remove items you rarely use.

Suggested C1-C7

MENU/OK → IMAGE QUALITY SETTING → EDIT/SAVE CUSTOM SETTING
  1. C1 Street: Classic Chrome, Auto ISO, AF-C/Zone.
  2. C2 Travel: Reala Ace, Auto ISO, AF-S/Single Point.
  3. C3 Portrait: Astia, Eye AF, f/2.
  4. C4 Landscape: Velvia/Provia, ISO 125, f/8.
  5. C5 Night: RAW, IBIS, protect highlights.
  6. C6 B&W: Acros + Red filter.
  7. C7 Indoor/Flash: Face/Eye, fill flash.
