Part-01: First Setup: Battery, Card, Date, Image Quality
Follow these steps on the camera.
Format the memory card
MENU/OK → SET UP → SAVE DATA SETTING → FORMAT
- Press MENU/OK.
- Go to SET UP.
- Choose SAVE DATA SETTING.
- Choose FORMAT.
- Select the card and confirm.
Set image quality for serious photography
MENU/OK → IMAGE QUALITY SETTING → IMAGE QUALITY
- Choose FINE + RAW.
- Then go to RAW RECORDING.
- Choose LOSSLESS COMPRESSED.
- Use this when you want both Fujifilm JPEG color and Lightroom editing flexibility.
Set image size
MENU/OK → IMAGE QUALITY SETTING → IMAGE SIZE
- Choose L 3:2.
- This gives full resolution and normal camera shape.
Set film simulation
MENU/OK → IMAGE QUALITY SETTING → FILM SIMULATION
- Choose REALA ACE for natural everyday color.
- Choose PROVIA for standard color.
- Choose CLASSIC CHROME for documentary/street color.
