Custom Settings, Q Menu, and Function Buttons
Objective: Configure the X100VI so you can quickly switch between Portrait, Landscape, Travel, Street, and Indoor setups without searching through menus.
The X100VI is most useful when it is fast. The goal is to put the settings you change often into the Q Menu, Fn buttons, and C1–C7 custom banks.
How to Save a Custom Setting C1–C7
Step 1 – Set the camera first
Choose the film simulation, image quality, ISO behavior, dynamic range, white balance, AF behavior, and other options before saving the bank.
Why: A C bank stores the current recipe-style settings. If you save while the camera is in the wrong state, that wrong state becomes part of the setup.
Avoid: Saving a custom bank while a temporary white balance, exposure compensation, self-timer, or unusual film recipe is active.
How to Customize the Q Menu
Why: The Q Menu is the fastest way to change common still-photo settings without entering the full menu.
